Terms of service

These terms cover your use of wessemblycounsellors.com: booking counselling sessions, buying video courses, and giving a course to someone else. By creating an account, booking a session or buying a course, you agree to them.

Wessembly Counsellors is a counselling practice at 57, Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. You can reach us at info@wessemblycounsellors.com or 0806 481 1519.

Your account

You need an account to book a session or to take a course. Please give your real name and an email address you can receive mail at — we send booking confirmations, receipts and course access to it. Passwords must be at least 10 characters. Keep yours to yourself; anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

Your account is yours alone. Course access is personal and cannot be passed on, shared or resold.

Booking a session

Times. All session times are shown in West Africa Time, the time zone this practice keeps. Sessions are held online or in person at our Ilorin address, depending on the service and what you choose.

Paying holds your slot. When you start a booking we hold the slot for 60 minutes while you pay. If payment is not completed in that time the hold is released and the slot goes back to whoever wants it. A booking is confirmed only once payment succeeds.

Changing or cancelling. You can cancel or move a session yourself up to 24 hours before it starts, from your dashboard. Inside 24 hours the site will not let you do it — contact us and we will help where we can. What happens to your money is set out in our Refund Policy.

If you do not attend. A session you do not attend, without telling us beforehand, is treated as having taken place.

Courses

Buying a course enrols you and gives you access to its video lessons and written class notes for your own personal use. You may not download, copy, record, re-upload, share your sign-in, or show the material publicly.

Some courses carry an access period. Where one does, it is shown before you buy and on the course in your dashboard, and we warn you as the end approaches.

Gifts

You can buy a course for someone else. We email them a one-time link to claim it.

An unclaimed gift expires 90 days after it is sent, and the link stops working. A link that has already been used cannot be used again. If a gift expires before your recipient claims it, contact us.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira and include any tax that applies. Payment is taken by Flutterwave on their own secure page; we never receive your card details. The price you pay is the price shown when you buy, and we record it against your order so a later price change does not affect it.

What this service is not

Counselling here is not an emergency or crisis service, and it is not medical or psychiatric treatment. Please read the Counselling Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

Our content

The text, design, course videos and class notes on this site belong to us or to the people we licence them from. You may read and use them for your own purposes. You may not copy, republish or sell them.

Availability

We aim to keep the site running, but we do not promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or withdraw services, and we may change prices for future purchases — never for one you have already paid for.

Ending your access

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, shares course access, or is used to abuse our staff or other clients. You may close your account at any time by writing to us; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your information.

Our responsibility to you

We take our work seriously and will provide it with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes

We keep every version of these terms. When we change them, the new version is published here with a new effective date, and it applies to bookings and purchases made after that date.
